Management Team

Nur Aini joined AIA Pension and Asset Management Sdn Bhd (“APAM”) in April 2024 as the Director, leading the overall strategic direction of the company. She brings over 15 years of experience in asset management industry including portfolio management for both equities and fixed income as well as research.

Before joining APAM, Aini served as the Associate Director at Eastspring Investments Bhd, where she led the Affiliate and Distribution Partnership team, overseeing the distribution and relationship with Life client. Prior to that, she was attached at Bank Negara Malaysia including BNM London, where she managed a set of diverse range of portfolios including European Fixed Income and Equities.

Tevis is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA). His role is overseeing  the full spectrum of finance matters of the company. He has more than 15 years of working experience in diverse disciplines including taxation, group accounting, finance, internal audit, project cost control, financial management and operational excellence. Previously he was the Head of Operational Excellence for a holistic heathcare start up prior to joining APAM. 

Yew Weng has more than 12 years of experience in equity research and portfolio management, of which his sectors of specialization include Technology, Telecommunications, Automotive, Utilities, Property, Construction, REITs, Transportation, on both a local and regional basis. Prior to joining AIA Pension and Asset Management Sdn Bhd, he was attached with Zurich’s Investment Management division as an equity portfolio manager and Etiqa’s Investment Management Division as a Senior Equity Analyst.

Sam joined AIA Pension and Asset Management Sdn Bhd in January 2020 to lead the PRS Agency Strategic Management & Distribution. He is tasked, among others, to grow the agency and corporate channel, and to strengthen the marketing communications functions for APAM. Sam has over 15 years of experience in marketing and distribution of retail wealth products for the banking and insurance industry. Prior to joining APAM, he was with AIA Bhd holding a strategic planning role within Agency Distribution in creating the one of the largest and most productive agency sales forces in the country.

Kar Ming joined AIA in August 2024. He is the designated person responsible for the compliance matters of AIA Pension and Asset Management Sdn. Bhd. He has more than 13 years of working experience in the capital market industry.

Prior to joining AIA, he was the Senior Manager of Compliance in Eastspring Investments Berhad. Kar Ming holds a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours, majoring in Banking and Finance, from Sheffield Hallam University, UK.
